My girlfriend and I were looking for food in Milano and found this cute location. Even though we weren't able to communicate properly, we still managed to get our order. The menu was shown in Chinese, Italian and English. I have tried the pork & pepper ravioli and wow, that was the best ravioli/dumpling I've eaten so far. 謝謝你

I have no idea what happened here, I'm still a bit confused to be honest, but the food was very tasty (and spicy for white Europeans).

Yummy food! Almost everything is €5-€8 and with generous portions! Navigating the menu was a little tricky bc I don’t know Cantonese or Italian but using a translator worked just fine :) It was my first time having this kind of Chinese food and it was soooooo delicious

As my mum is originated from North-Eastern Part of China, I can say only by looking at the menu of this restaurant, this restaurant is super authentic. (because somehow usually the NE China cuisine is mixed with Sichuan style food for increasing the sales vol) When I order the food and have them, it just feel likes I am home. back in one second. If you want to try some real authentic food with a reasonable price, please come here and order anything you want

Very hole in the wall shop located off the main Chinatown street. Food is flavourful and cheap! The staff are friendly and gave us helpful recommendations. We went in the afternoon and many of the dishes were sold out. The only drawback is that the seating area is very small. The utensils and bowls are also plastic/takeout.

Fantastic & authentic dong bei / NE Chinese cuisine in unassuming place. Suspect would eat here weekly if we lived in Milan. Highly recommended if you enjoy this regional cuisine and don't mind the informal setting (or to take away).

Nestled in the heart of Milan, 东北小菜 Dongbei Food offers an authentic taste of Northeastern Chinese cuisine. This cozy eatery on Via Paolo Lomazzo presents a rich menu that beautifully captures the bold and hearty flavors of China's Dongbei region. From spicy, refreshing cold noodles to hand-crafted spicy strips, each dish bursts with genuine flavor and tradition.

The highlight here is the incredible variety of 小菜 (small dishes) that perfectly balance spice, texture, and freshness. The 麻辣拌 and Tagliatelle Piccanti stand out for their vibrant, mouth-tingling heat, carefully calibrated for a European palate yet preserving authentic Sichuan-inspired kick. The 肘子拌饭 is a comforting, savory option that invites you to savor the slow-cooked richness of Northeastern pork paired with rice.

Cold dishes like 拌冷面 (Spaghetti Freddi) provide a refreshing contrast with their lightness and subtle sourness, a perfect balance to the heavier, spiced dishes. The Kimchi Riso Con Pollo Fritto introduces a delightful fusion element by mixing Korean influences with Chinese flavors, making it a must-try for adventurous diners.

From a personal perspective, the hand-made spicy strips (手工辣条) were a revelation—crunchy, fiery, and addictive, a true testament to the care put into every dish here. The 东北过桥米线 (Dongbei “Crossing-the-Bridge” Rice Noodles) offers a soul-warming depth with silky textures and rich broth that transport you straight to Northeast China.

Despite some language barriers, the tri-lingual menu (Chinese, Italian, and English) ensures a smooth ordering experience. The value is remarkable too, with most dishes priced between €5-€8, generous in portion size and in flavor. Whether you’re seeking comfort food that tastes like home or eager to explore Northeastern Chinese cuisine for the first time, 东北小菜 Dongbei Food in Milan delivers authenticity, warmth, and delightful surprises in every bite.
